A Vero Beach man, identified as 37-year-old Peter Solomon Ruma, was reportedly arrested and is being held on a $1 million bond. Police allege he created and distributed AI-generated sexually explicit images of women without consent, using photos sourced from social media and other online platforms. Investigators reportedly searched Ruma's home and electronic devices, finding evidence connected to the creation and distribution of these images. An arrest warrant was obtained, and Ruma is currently facing eight charges related to incidents between June and August 2026 involving one female victim. These charges include three counts of creating altered sexual depictions, three counts of promoting those depictions, one count of sexual cyber harassment, and one count of stalking. Authorities have identified several additional potential victims who may be unaware their images were created or shared, and investigators reportedly believe Ruma may have engaged in this conduct for years. The Vero Beach Police Department is urging anyone who believes they may have been victimized or has information regarding the altered images to come forward. The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be filed.
