Resemble AI announced today that it has been nominated for Best Use of Voice Technology Apps, dApps and Software in the 27th Annual Webby Awards. Hailed as the “Internet’s highest honor” by The New York Times, The Webby Awards, presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), is the leading international awards organization honoring excellence on the Internet. Using Resemble AI’s generative voice technology, Andy Warhol’s voice was recreated to recite his own words from the diaries, creating an immersive six-part documentary on the artist’s life. With just 3 minutes and 12 seconds of data from Andy Warhol recordings, Resemble AI reworked its AI model from the ground up to generate realistic output. With an entirely new architecture, the data was cleaned, ingested, and trained to produce a model that not only sounded like Andy Warhol but also had the humanness in delivery and performance.

Winners will be announced on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, and honored in a star-studded show at Cipriani Wall Street. Winners will have an opportunity to deliver one of The Webby Awards’ famous 5-Word Speeches. Past 5-Word Speeches include: Steve Wilhite’s “It’s Pronounced “Jif” not ‘Gif’; NASA’s “Houston We Have A Webby”; and Drew Barrymore’s “Social Media’s a Wild Ride.”
